Water security affected by pollution and water scarcity is a global issue, interdisciplinary and pressing for solutions. Industrialization, agricultural production, ongoing environmental changes and economic and consumption growth increase pressure on water resources and negatively impact the quality of water bodies with the release of pollutants and contaminants, chemical and biological. An integrated view of the problems and solutions involved in ensuring water security is needed to protect human health and the environment.

What is the HydroPoll Network?

The HydroPoll Network (Hydrological Pollution) is an articulator of several researchers and institutions to develop projects and produce knowledge through interactive thematic initiatives that contribute to the achievement and effectiveness of public policies at various levels, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


Our Mission

Contribute with scientific and technological advances to safeguard the quality of aquatic environments and their respective ecosystem services, recognizing the interrelationship of water in continental, coastal and marine environments.


Main Objective

Integrate knowledge to systematically and scientifically address pressing issues related to water and water resources through studies that advance knowledge for the monitoring, remediation, conservation and management of water resources and environmental health, contributing to the achievement of the Objectives of Sustainable Development (SDG).

It aims to predict and prioritize personal care and cosmetic products for monitoring in aquatic environments, contemplating the determination of their insertion routes, developing analytical and remediation methods for their removal from water and effluents, proposing strategies and public policies for their removal minimization.


DataPoll

It aims to develop models, analyze environmental monitoring data, establish relationships, and elucidate complex water resource scenarios. Therefore, it considers the use of models/studies of impact scenario of land use on the quality of public water supply.


BiotaPoll

It aims to assess the effects of pollution on biota in aquatic environments through integrated studies of contamination, ecotoxicology, and ecology to produce knowledge to support the management of aquatic environments.


AntiMicroResistance

It aims to develop studies in ​​antimicrobial resistance in water (surface, underground, wastewater and coastal), trying to identify resistance markers in the environment.

AquaPlastic

It aims to understand the extent of plastic pollution in aquatic environments through the diagnosis, monitoring and control of contamination, in addition to the identification of associated pollutants, contemplating the determination of their sources, routes and fate and proposing strategies and public policies for their minimization.


CleanPoll

It aims to predict and prioritize cleaning products for monitoring in aquatic environments, contemplating the determination of their insertion routes, developing analytical and remediation methods for the removal of water and effluents, proposing strategies and public policies for their minimization.
